I don't use the WYSIWYG side of it. I understand that it can be a bit messy, and though it is stating that it makes the whole code in XHTML, it apparently overlooks a few tags. bgcolor as an example. I typically use the coding screen or the most, split screen for the odd view of my progress. Like I have said from the beginning, if you want to do ANY website creation/design you MUST learn thoroughly HTML at least. I find DWCS3 handy for creating CSS attributes, but I have just started getting into PHP, and haven't tried other coding apps.
Have you tried the CS3 version? it's really changed from earlier versions. I HATE the FTP client that DW uses. I use WS_FTP PRO, primitive but extremely reliable and effective for the type of internet connection that I have to contend with. (I am on Satellite internet since I move around a lot, especially in areas that have no other source of internet, and I am using a bad satellite right now and need to change over the Mex5 that hardly anyone uses so I will get better datatransferrate.) WS_FTP seems to recognize any lost packets whereas other FTP clients seem to hiccup on my connection.
I understand that a lot of people use DW and I am just here to offer any help for those who need it.
