Okay, for a new site I've tried making my own design but we've decided to use a free design and modify it a bit.

I've tried my best to get it to work, and I am simply not able to. It always aligns it wrong.

I don't really fancy downloading your files. However, looking at the first two links...

The main section in the design is positioned with the left and right margins set to 'auto' - so what you want to probably do is remove that. then then add the adverts at either side then maybe wrap the full thing in another div that centers it.
