setcookie with expiration no t working in I.E

It only works on FF, not I.E

I need the expiration.
Anyway to get around it.

You could maintain the expiration on the server side with a session.

Create a session variable called timer and set it to the time that the session started.

Then, in your header file, whenever a page is loaded, check the time on that timer variable and compare it to the current time. If it's too old, then behave as if the cookie expired.

Well right now your cookie is only being set for 60 seconds. Additionally the cookie is only accessible after the next page load. Make sure your IE is configured to accept cookies, you may also try setting the path on the server for which the cookie is accessible.

IE does not accept cookies with short duration for some reason, don't ask me why it just doesn't

From php.net:

firefox will permit a short cookie length, eg +60
IE6 (all i tested as yet) will not create the cookie for +60
