I am having trouble assembling a PHP MySQL Chat Script from a tutorial....is there any chance someone could help..i would imagine its quite basic for someone who knows PHP

Yes! I have mesmerised the location of every script on the interweb. However i just happened to have dropped my brain in to a quantum singularity so will not be able to assist you till my cat comes back from the dead. While you wait, i suggest google.

i have searched google...did before posting here...but i cant find one thats basic enough...im after possibly one that doesnt refresh all the time...and a basic design where you choose a nickname... im not sure how to use FRAMESETS either...

As it would seem you are not very familiar with either php or html i suggest you try to find some guides for that first.

Search for google find out, start it off. Then say you see a bit and your like "what does this do?"

Then you come to us and ask questions.
