detecting key pressed

Hi just start with php and was wonder is it possible for php to detect the key which has been pressed by the user? from what i have read it seem this cant be done by server side scripts thus is it possible for php to link up with a client based language so that when a key has been pressed an image will be retrieved from those stored within the server? Any codes which showcase case would be useful thanks in advance for any help rendered 🙂

You would have to do this with JavaScript. To link thr two together read up Ajax.
