What Next?

hey guys,

I've watched all the tutorials at phpvideotutorials.com, and I've read PHP & MySQL for dummies.

Now my question is what I should do next?

Does anyone know good PHP/MySQL Books that could help someone who knows the basics?
Or Anyone who knows some great videoo tutorial site?

I might buy a book about regular expressions, any suggestions?

Start making a site i say, you'll learn a bunch by doing it.
I didn't have a clue of any php syntax and when i started building my site i learned ALOT, with the help of good 'ol php.net ofcoarse 😛

Oreilly.com has many PHP books at reasonably good prices, and many of them are avaialable as e-books, too. They even have a book devoted entirely to regular expressions. Generally speaking, look for books published within the last couple of years and that emphasize using PHP5 rather than PHP4.

If you have been learning object-oriented PHP (which you should 😉 ), I'd also recommend PHP 5 Objects, Patterns and Practice by Zandstra.

I tend to post this link to all threads like this, I think its a great tutorial. It's just an online one but its quite sizeable and covers lots of interesting subjects.
