PhP not working.

Alright, I did the code as this site said and all I got was the HTML from the code. They said to save the .php file in the server root which I think is apache so I put it under, (C:\xampp\apache) What happend was nothing. The HTML came up but the php did not. Before vista was saving it as a txt document but I fixed that so i think it should be working...

You need to check the apache config file, called httpd.conf, which will tell you where the root is on your server. It is not typically the apache folder. I do not have a standard config, so I am not sure what the default setting is.

If you edit this file, and modify the location of the server root, you need to restart apache before the setting takes effect,,

Just to make sure: You do also have php instaled right?

Try putting your files in htdocs. That is the document root.

Put it in there, HTML worked but Php still did not work. I don't really know if I have it installed. I installed it once before then installed xampp over top of what I had before. I can't be sure if it is working because I am on Vista and nothing seems to be running on Vista atm... :mad:

I use wampserver http://wampserver.com/en for all my php needs and if you have problems with that i can help you just email me here🆒

Ps. Upload your files in the www directory if you install wamp
