PHP Upload Issue

Hi there guys

I have few websites that I have created for my clients who have php scripts that upload files to the site, The files are different types PDF, Jpg, Gif.

These scripts were working and suddenly they stopped working.

What do you think the issue would be.

I have contacted the host and they are giving me the run around.

when it happens to me it tends to be a file permission issue.

Error log can not find it. These scripts were working. I have had tested them. The folder permission is 755, as it was before. Could this be the hosting server issue or maybe my script compatiblity with php 5. it says it is 4.4.8 and I am useing copy function for upload.

You could try adding the following to the beginning of one of the scripts to see if it will give you any useful info:

error_reporting(E_ALL);
?>

Note: this will display all run-time errors directly to the browser, so you'll want to remove it after you finish debugging (or change the "1" to a "0" in the first command).

well as it says $datum is not defined

it has been always working suddenly it is not defined. is this some php issue you think, as in compatiblity?

Maybe the script depends on [man]register_globals[/man] and it has been turned off? If so, you may want to look into using [man]import_request_variables/man.

I found out not only host has changed from PHP 4 to 5 also the Copy PHP Function is not enabled and working. Any idea what could have gone wrong for this to happen?
