I wish my users to be able to download Powerpoints without them opening. I am using this code:
<p><a href="download.php?file=/public_html/downloads/Brain_Injury_Corrections.pptx">Download Corrections Presentation</a></p>
where the Powerpoint is located in /public_html/downloads/ and the file requesting the download is in /public_html/. When I click the link the bottom of the browser displays
http://www.domain.extension/download.php?file=/public_html/downloads/Brain_Injury_Corrections.pptx
However, when I click the link this is what is produced:
http://www.domain.extension/download.php?file=/public_html/downloads/Brain_Injury_Corrections.pptx
I am getting an http 404 not found error. What is my error?
