Personally, I've pretty much gotten to the point now where if a question does not interest me enough when I read it to want to provide an actual answer, I just move on to the next thread.
Presumably anyone who reaches this forum already knows how to use google, and if they have not yet done so, me telling them to probably won't magically cause them to change their ways. (If only it was so easy! 😉 )
So in other words, I simply suggest choosing the battles that seem worth fighting, and just running away from the rest. In the long run, it will save a lot of aggravation.
(And a word to the n00bs, this is another good reason to use well-worded thread titles and carefully constructed questions. Without doing so, you risk being ignored by some of the most experienced contributors here - those who have seen too many lazy questions and "Help me!" titles and are therefore the most likely to ignore your post.)
