I realize this is a bit off-topic, but I hope that our friendly moderators will allow me this once off personal mesaage.

I have entered a europeamn photocompetition, and the audience can vote for the pictures. Could you do me a big favor an vote for me here?

It may end up help me get a new digital SLR camera...

It's a great photo, but I'm not registering just to vote 🙁 But nice shot!! Is yours the one with the elk or whatever in the sunset (or rise) ?

It is a waterbuck.

As it is canon, and they give you the opt-out option for newsletters and being contacted, I feel less worried about asing people to et into the system and provide some info. But yeah.. I share your sentiment re. registration. It is a bit sily that they ask you for this info. They say they use it to m\ke sure people don't vote several times for 1 pic
