Hi there,
I'm looking for a script or coding that I can place into my web site that will find all links (internal/external) within a divide ID of "maincontent". So, I need the URL and the text between the a href's.
Then take the information and display it in list form in a side navigation panel.

I've been looking for this for a few days now. I have found a few that were close but not exactly. I know enough php to sort of figure out what the code is doing but not enough to code it myself, but I'm learning. Any help or advice is appreciated.

If you're looking at an XHTML document, you could use SimpleXML and just use a simple xpath looking for all <a> tags within a <div> with an ID attribute of "maincontent"....

Otherwise, you have some slick regex ahead of you.

This regex will work partly (meaning only if there are none <div>'s within maincontent).

<div id="maincontent">.*(?:<a href="([a-z0-9./:]+)">([a-zA-Z0-9 -_\.]*)</a>).*</div>
