PHP, MySQL, IE issue

I would suppose others have run in to this issue and I don't know what in
the world to do about it. I have a script that has forms and I have a second
script that I call in an OnClick event. The 2nd script writes a record to a table
in MySQL database. On all my new scripts the same thing occurs.

I click on the button and then script although it only appears to execute a single
time. it writes 2 records to the database table. I don't have this issue with
FireFox at all. Any ideas on this weird behavior? I have tried about everything
I can think of. I don't know if it has to do with missing <FORM> tags or something.

Any insight is appreciated on this.

Very hard to help without scripts/urls.

I would put an alert() in the JS and see if it is being called twice.

I'd suggest that if you know that it inserts twice, check for the last insert to check if its the same data, in case it is, ignore the second insert =P
