printing out some strings

Hi folks

I am developing a patient management system for diabetics and for the most part i have the major parts done when it comes to registration and such but I have one problem that i want to get over.
Initially a patient will be referred to the website by their own doctor who will run a simple password generator script that will should print out the following patient details with which the patient can then login to the registration section of the website

$userName and $password.

However i am unable to print out to paper these details. For the purpose of this project I am not using a network printer.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated

When you say you are unable to print them - for what reason? Are they already encrypted in the database? Are you trying to automatically send data to the printer? If you can be more specific on the printing problem, we can probably help with a solution.

I better explain the system properly first. A patient is referred to the hospital website when it is suspected that the patient is diabetic. The doctors own computer should be able to print out a page with a userId and password that is generated there and then and then given to the patient and the details sent to database. The patient then logins with those id details and proceeds to register fully with the outpatients diabetic clinic. On successful registration those original login details will be removed from the database.

I have all of the above done execpt the printing side.

Partial solution : I am now able to create a pdf file which works but would still like to print straight to printer
