[RESOLVED] WHERE clause problem (BETWEEN dates)

I'm using a WHERE clause to get posts only for specific months of the year, but it's not working as it should..
Instead i get all the mounths..

For instance dates only from june:

SELECT columns FROM table WHERE date BETWEEN 01062008 AND 30062008;

Have you tried:

between '20080601' and '20080730'

???
