I am having a rather miserable time getting phpeclipse to work right.
Am using FreeBSD 7.0, apache 2.2.8, php 5.2.6, postgresql 8.3, xdebug 2.1 and/or debug 3.10,
I seem to be able to configure it with xdebug but even if I reconfigure the php.ini and extensions.ini files to exclude xdebug, xdebug remains in the preferences configuration of Eclipse. What's going on?
I'm supposed to have the option PHP Web developing under the preferences - it is not there.
I have been able to debug a little but phpeclipse does not catch all errors. DBGbar in firefox seems to the most efficient yet for debugging.
The PHP browser does not work. What is it and how do you make it work?
I have looked at the java tutorial on Eclipse and it seems terrific. But phpeclipse, so far, is a monumental disappointment.
I hope somebody can suggest some magic to make this thing work right. I have also had no luck on PHPed, devphp in a Windows environment. I must really be stupid; but I can read and follow instructions pretty well even if I do make typos and bloopers and whatever...
Pleeeeeease steer me to the right path 🙂
