Search function for website

Hello, I need to create a comprehensive search function for my site.

At the moment it queries the DB and finds product descriptions that match the search and highlights the search found in the description etc.

I need it to also seach for text on any webpage and then give a link to that page.

Any help on this or a tutorial that you know of would be much apreciated.

Why not just put the google site search tool on your site? That would require almost 0 work on your part and still give you a very good search tool.

Thats a good idea - I looked into it, but you have to pay unless you want adverts.

So if you have links or ideas for making my own then please say.
