drill-down but not really

i am trying to find an example of a script and i can't finger out how to find it. here's what i need the script to do. lets say i got a 6 links and i need the users to be presented w/ the appropriate links based on their answers to 3 yes/no questions.

if they answer yes to question I, they get links 1,2
if they answer yes to question II, they get links 3,4
if they answer yes to question III, they get links 5,6

but if they answer yes to question I and yes to question I, they get links associated w/ both so 1,2,3,4.

any help would be greatly appreciated--i think i can handle using an existing script that's similar--there's no way i could write from scratch :queasy:

There are several ways of doing this. Here's one:

$answers = array(true, false, true);
$links = array(
    array('link 1', 'link 2'),
    array('link 3', 'link 4'),
    array('link 5', 'link 6'));

for ($i = 0; $i < count($answers); ++$i)
{
    if ($answers[$i])
    {
        foreach ($links[$i] as $link)
        {
            echo $link . "<br />\n";
        }
    }
}

The idea is to keep two parallel arrays. One array has the answers to the questions (where true means yes and false means no), the other is an array of arrays of links, each array of links corresponding to an answer.

i realize now that i need to hit the books for a couple hours. i understand the idea behind two parallel arrays, however, i'm having issues remembering how to use the code within html (oops) and i don't understand most of the "for" statement. i'll try and figure it out!
