I want to upgrade my site with the latest versions of php and mysql. Currently I am using PHP 4.4.2 and MySql 4.0. I created a new server to check everything and make sure it works before I go live with the new system. I transfered all data from the old server and transfered it to the new one. From what I understand, PHP and MySql are supposed to be backwards compatible, but I seem to be having problems. The biggest problem being that many variables are not being recognized. Anyone else have this problem?
