I have found that ftp_size isn't supported on all servers. What is the determination if it is supported or not? Does it depend on the Operating System, or is it a php setting that just needs to be enabled?

I'm trying to use it to determine what is a directory and what is a file. I have also attempted to use ftp_rawlist but ran into a road block, as well as ftp_chdir but there is slowness issues when you have to change directories as you are looping through.

ftp_rawlist is the function for that, what issues are you having with it?

When I ran rawlist against a directory, for 2 of the files within the directory, there was no output in the array. The other files had output but 2 were empty. So in that scenario there is no way to determine if it is a file or directory.

checked for hidden files?

ftp_rawlist($con, "-al ".$dir);

No luck with hidden files either. Just tried and the array is still empty.

how do you know the files are there? have you tried a regular ftp client? if it shows them the php ftp client should. Tried ftp_raw?

Yeah I can see the 2 files in a ftp client. When I execute nlist it sees both of these files, just when I execute rawlist the array for both of these files is empty.

If I try ftp_raw, is there a command I can use that will get the SIZE of a file?

Looks like ftp_raw is php 5 only. Unfortunately the site I need it on is on 4.3.
