Need software recommendation

Hello to all. New to this forum and Php.

I have been using Dreamweaver for all of my ASP and html coding. I want to start using Php now and would like to get some thoughts on what software to use to help me. I would like to have similar functions as that of Dreamweaver such as site wide link checking, structure tree, and code checking. But the most important feature I want is a package that is widely used by other developers so I can ask all of those dumb questions.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.
