Reading SLK file in PHP

Hello,

I'm trying to find a way to read a .SLK file in PHP.

My client is sent an .SLK file each week from DHL containing details of the orders they have shipped during the previous week and I need to import this into a database to cross check against their sales records.

The .SLK file opens fine in Excel. The full file type is 'Microsoft Excel SLK Data Import Format (.slk)'

I just can't find anything at all about SLK's on Google or PHP.net

Any help is appreciated.

The simple solution would be to open in in Excel, save it as a CSV file, then process that with PHP's [man]fgetcsv/man.

Yes, that's the backup choice but if possible I'd rather do it directly.
