Webpage has expired

I am making five php pages forms, when I start first page, then go to second page. then go back to first page, it's ok.
but when I go through first , second and third page, then go back to second, the IE said "Webpage has expired", then when I fresh the page, I go back to second page correctly.

any way I can fix this problem?
by the way, I use
<input type="button" value="Previous Page" onClick="history.go(-1)">
to go back.

I delete the button and use just previous page's link to go back.

I am still a bit unclear about what you are asking. Are you creating a multi-step form? I also had issues with this but ended up using a session to help accomodate the data.

The browser back button does the trick as well or the js equivilent of history(-1)
