Need to Read metadata added by photoshop with php

I need a way to read metadata added by photoshop in php and add it to mysql database

The meta data is just normal text is it not? It is sort of layed out like xml I think. This may just be in psd files, I don't know. I'm not an expert.

Anyway to do this you could just use the file functions to get the file contents into a variable or an array and then search for the xml bits like "<Resolution>" and save them.

Nope. the metadata is stored in the exif section of the image. And can be accessed through the exif funtions.
