[RESOLVED] intval()

🙂 When I have compiled the script below it appears the following PHP Notice:

sounds like your explode is not working. do a:
print_r($line);

right after the explode, and show what it gives

I have added print_r($line) but the problem exist again with PHP Notices are given above.

I have tested it with PHP DESIGNER 2007 ver. 5.4

what does the print_r give?

I can't taste print_r with DEBUGGER. When I'm running the script above ,it is displayed PHP Notices: //undefined... Well.... can you run the scrript above and taste it?

I could, but the whole idea is that you learn how to debug your script yourself, AND I do not have your input files

If you examine your input files, do you see any blank lines? If so, then this is going to cause a problem; you never check if every single line in the file (since that's what PHP loads - not just the non-blank ones) conforms to your pattern of six tab-delimited columns. Instead, you continue on in every loop as if there were four columns, obviously causing PHP warnings when there isn't.

Perhaps you should check if there are six columns after splitting the data and, if not, continue on to the next line in the loop.

EDIT: Post edited - didn't read carefully; your code assumes there are six columns in every line.

Well,.... I have started it successfully, but later the PHP the PHP Notices are appeared again. I misunderstand what is happened. Input file:
