phpMyAdmin import timeout

I have just upgraded phpMyAdmin from v2.7.0 to v2.11.6

I used to be able to import a 10MB file in 3-4 minutes without the import timing out. Now with the upgraded version, I am only able to import a 5th of that and then it times out. When I resume the transfer it will timeout again and I don't have the option of continuing. (Has exceeded the max time allowed 300secs)

Any thoughts?

A suggestion is to use an application that makes a connection directly to the database instead of doing it through PHP. SQLyog is the one I'm using.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had already downloaded Bigdump and it worked perfectly for me. It took about 30 secs to do the transfer.
