Mobile Phone Website

One thing that has bugged me for the last month or so, is "Mobile Websites (Displayed on Mobile Phones).

It's easy to build and test a website on a PC, as all you need to create the page, then fire up your favorite web browser, and chuck the page into it to see instant results - how does it work to test a website on a Mobile Phone it'll cost a fortune won't it? - Take http://www.ebaymobile.co.uk/ for an example!

Also, is a Mobile website any different to a PC/computer website?

I would be very interested to here anyone's answers.

There are some emulators out there you can run on your desktop PC, such as WinWAP, for one.

there is also a Openwave software where you can also create a wapsite in any texteditor and you can test it there. it looks like a phone in the pc.
