Calculating Wrong

Hello, I am new to php, and my script is not calculating correctly on my website.

echo " 3v3: " , (1511.26 / (1 + (1639.28 (2.71828 ^ (-0.00412 $Rating))))) * .88;

Say the $Rating is 1650, it should come out to 470.0233 (pasted the string on google). But it does not, I get some weird number when it calculates on my site; -0.10141725462205.

Does anybody know what I did wrong? I'm pretty sure the equation is set up correctly, thanks 🙂 .

I am not sure that php recognizes the ^ as a power function. Have you tried the [man]pow[/man] function?

leatherback's right - the '^' operator in PHP represents the bitwise Xor operator (manual: [man]language.operators.bitwise[/man]).
