need help in server side validation

technology ASP.NET wlth VB.NET

i am not getting output while using javascript. the combo box values are loaded by the values in database.selected index is not changing.it is still in the index 0 eventhough i changed the list in the combo.i thinking that the values are from database and each loading the values are loading again thats why i am not getting the answer. do u have any idea?

is it possible with javascript or by vbscript?

pls tell what to do in this situation
