converting decimal separators

Hi

this is probably really simple

I need to convert a number like 19,5 to 19.50 with a dot as the separator and 2 decimal places. Is there a number function that will do this ? or will i have to replace the comma and pad out the number ?

I'd probably just do:

$converted = sprintf('%.2f', str_replace(',', '.', $original));
