How to stop users voting on my poll more than once

I recently created a AJAX Poll on my website: http://www.lilwaynehq.com and you can see it in the menu on the left. Now I was wondering how can I stop users voting more than once on it?

Is there some sort of script out or even a tutorial for me to follow or if you know a way, please let me know

There a re a few ways:
- If only registered users can vote: Store their uderID in a voted table
- Set a cookie after voting, and varify for the cookie when they try to revote
- Verify IP address against a list of voteed IP addresses.

Each of the options has obvious drawbacks, and you will have to make a choice as to which you like best.

Afaik there is no foolproof way to stop people from doing this completely, without having them sign up (And even then there is nothing stopping people from siging up multiple times)

I don't mind if the user is allowed to re-vote after them clearing their cookies, but do you have a tutorial for how to do this, because I have no idea were to start?
