I am new to this php...and i encountered some error..

Please give me some idea how to solve this problem? I don't know how to solve this error...

The code you posted is full of deprecated coding practices:

1. $HTTP* variables no longer exist (at least, they shouldn't be depended on). Instead, you need to use the new superglobal arrays (manual: [man]variables.superglobals[/man]), such as $FILES or $POST.
   

2. You shouldn't rely on the 'type' attribute provided. As from the PHP manual: "This mime type is however not checked on the PHP side and therefore don't take its value for granted." Instead you could use a function such as [man]getimagesize/man to check if the file is a valid image.
   

3. Server variables such as $PHP_SELF no longer exist either; instead you should use the $_SERVER array (explained in the above link to the manual in regards to superglobals).
