QUESTION ABOUT MAGENTO

If anyone knows anything about magento then feel free the answer this question

Im trying to install magento. When I get it on my server it only displays the front page and nothing else. So I download the data samples and repopulate the database and put all the images into the media folder. After im done with that, then a store front finally appears but when i click on items or categories, it says that it can not be found. any one have any ideas why this may be

Just asking in here because no one seems to know how to answer question on the magento forums.

I would really like to just install it on my computer but it doesnt seem to recognize my extension.

mcrypt
curve

They cant recognize any of them. I uncommented them from php.ini and reseted the server but it still doesnt recognize it. I have it cause they all appear in my ext folder. but still doesnt recognize it. even when i run a phpinfo() still doesnt seem to find it. if anyone have any clues let me know

if you want to install magento on your computer you need to update the latest version of pdo, for easyphp for example.

I guess you got this sorted, but don't forget to always:

1 - Refresh your Cache in Magento
2 - Ensure Permissions are set across the site so that Magento can run

Are you still using it, if so how you getting on?

We fell in love with it earlier this year, and OK the support might not be affordable, but the community forums are invaluable...
