Registration Question

Hi again users 🙂

Well i have just one question.
I have a main login and register system for my website. When they register the are filling in username, password, email ect ect.. I have also added so they only can register once per IP and email. (only one account with same email and ip).
My question is, how can u add so the register function are checking so the user who register not have a ip who are registered in www.stopforumspam.com ?

1 thing is to compy the list into a .php file and make a fopen(); or have another script who are checking the list and compare the user ip with that list.

It would be a greate function because that would stop allot of spammers from register on the site.

Did you look at their API page? You can check entries like so:

* [url]http://www.stopforumspam.com/api?ip=91.186.18.61[/url]
* [url]http://www.stopforumspam.com/api?email=[e-mail][/url]
* [url]http://www.stopforumspam.com/api?username=MariFoogwoogy[/url]

You can just create a string for the appropriate check, then grab the contents with file_get_contents($check); then parse what's returned.

Well i dont get it how i will do for adding it as a check.
If($data[ip] == $stopforumspam) {
//show error msg here
}
