how to plot a line in a graph and find the slope

is it possible to plot a line in a graph and find the slope of it using php?
if so how do i do it?

Certainly. You could use one of the pre-made graphing packages out there (probably your easiest solution), or rig up something of your own. Drawing a line is as simple as calling [man]imageline/man.

Depends what kind of data you have about the line. If you have two points on the line, then it's the simple (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) formula.

Sure, PHP has image drawing functionality. PHP also has a full compliment of mathematical functions/operators. That being said, it's possible.

I take it, you'd rather not write this yourself (I don't blame you, pretty advanced.) That's why ppl create free libraries. GraPHPite looks promising.
