Have set up a page showing a number of items from database with a repeat region. All well and good. I now need the following action when the viewer selects the item.
- Update the database with a hidden field to change one field from 'on' to 'off' - basically i only want to show items filtered with the 'on' field.
and then
- To take the same data that was just updated to a selected page after updating. From here I want to set up a paypal button to purchase the item.
Have tried setting up a form that will update the database and go to the selected page but obviously does not carry the data over to the new page.
Again have set it up so when selected the data is carried over to the required new page and the data is shown in the recordset but unable to update the database 'on route'.
So it seems one or the other!
either update the database and go to the new page without the data or carry the data onto the required page without updating the database first.
Been working on this for a few days and still no headway - and yet seems a reasonable solution.
Working with PHP and Dreamweaver and have the database set up, connected and working. Just this issue to solve.
Any ideas or help on this would be greatly appreciated. Willing to pay for the work to ensure the above meets the requirement.
Any offers guys please let me know. Have done similar last year and worked out quite well for a number of projects for me and the developer who agreed.
