[RESOLVED] not all images are displayed by apache

Hi, I'm coding an app with LAMP, but a weird thing is happen to me, I have 6 different images to display in every php form, 4 are jpg and 2 are gif format; but only 2 jpg files are displayed and really I don't know why, I already check the path, the name of the files and eveything is ok. In fact the line that I use is:

<tr><td><img src="ubuntu001.jpg" height="100" width="100"></td><td><img src="ubuntu004.jpg" height="100" width="100"></td></tr>
...

This lines are inside a php file. But if I want to view this file outside of apache, all images are displayed correctly, but when I do:

http://localhost/app/mypages.php Just 2 images are displayed.

So, my question is: Is there any directive in apache to enable or denied display images? what should I check? because is really weird, just 2 jpg files are displayed. I tell you, this really freak me out.

I already check each file using the linux command file and all are in the right format.

I hope someone can help me.

What do you mean by "view this file outside of apache"?
Can you post the source for mypages.php and a directory listing of app?
ls -la app > ls.txt

Try creating an html file called test.html in your app directory... and just put the
html for all 6 images in it. (The html you posted only has 2 images in it, so its no wonder you only see 2 images...) Then try viewing it in your browser and see if all 6 images show up. If they don't, try accessing the images directly: http://localhost/app/ubuntu001.jpg and see what you get.

Also, try using IE and Firefox to view them. Sometimes one will give you more/different information than the other.

Thanks for your help, when you mention the file permission I checked and the result was:

"rwx-----" for the "problems files"

after that I changed to 0644 and the problem files now I can see it.

You, that issue makes me feel like a stupid :glare:, because i checked the php code, css, apache conf and really it was so easy, all right, I have a lot of to lear about LAMP

Don't sweat it, file permissions are usually the last thing I check too.
