correctly ordered number

Hi folks

I am getting a list of scores from a DB using a record set and ordering the list by DESC so that the highest number is first whoever it is returning the following ordered list

4, 4, 24, 24, 2, 18, 15, 12, 0, 0

I can see why the code thinks this is in the right order, but i am unable to figure out how to change it so that it is correct ie

24, 24, 18, 15, 12, 4, 4, 2, 0, 0

Hope someone can help me

If your fields have only integers en it should be integer. Now you have it char or varchar(or you are using field which is used with concat function.

Try these first:

• change the field to integer

• try to cast the field as integer for example:

SELECT * FROM tablename
ORDER BY CAST( fieldname AS unsigned ) DESC

I suggest the first one if the rows only contain numbers..
