Not really, but thanks.
I am looking for something more like a PHP installer that runs PHP as a service with good security settings by default. Then I want to write an extension to PHP to allow remote execution, kinda like ASP and ActiveX controls.
The security would be an issue, but think of the possibilities. PHP could really compete with Java IHMO. GTK still needs work and acceptance, but it's a start. If there was a reason for users to install PHP and then it was just a service they never had to pay attention to, more people around the internet would be more apt to download PHP-GTK applications and use PHP scripts like they can for java apps and such.
Something tells me I might get a response like, just use Java, but I don't want to learn it and I think PHP is better. It just needs some lovin.
What do you think. Am I shooting too far? Obviously this wouldn't be a one person task.
