MySQL as you type a form feild

I cant seem to find information on this.

I want to use a form text field called "reg" which when a user starts typing something it queries a mysql db and brings up predicted type results which can be selected.

So "St" might bring back

Street
Straight
Start
Stay

I hope that makes sense!

You are looking for autocomplete/autosuggest. Theres lots of those around the net and with "ajax autocomplete" google gives some good pointers.
