need simple script to....

to embed multiple pages into 1 index.php
to which changing the page like "index.php?news" would bring up the news page

eg.

if ?news

html for news page goes here

if ?contact

html for contact page goes here

index.php?page=news

although i don't know why but
index.php?page=news did not switch to news

however useing
$SERVER['QUERY_STRING'] instead of $get['page'] worked with
index.php?news
