Site Defination

Could someone help me with this "Site Defination"?
I heard it will speed up working when using this.

Could you people put some descriptions from some important places here?
I need this information in based of my current studies.

Dreamweaver version is 8.

I got confused during class session in school and teacher is "tight###" so I don't care to ask from him. He would only reply with "Why didn't you listened more?" or something like that.

Well, you could fire up Dreamweaver, hit F1 (Help), and in the search tab, you can enter 'site' or 'definition'.

Alternatively, after hitting F1, goto the contents tab, then select 'Dreamweaver Basics', then in the dropdown select 'Setting up a Dreamweaver Site', and in that dropdown, finally click on Reference.

Here, you will find info on Site Definition setup.
