check IP

i am getting client IP address with:

$ip=$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'];

i want to check if this ip between:
form 217.218.236.0 to 217.218.236.255
or
form 85.9.106.0 to 85.9.106.255
or
form 81.9.110.0 to 81.9.110.255

then showes: IP is right
else showes: IP is false

how do i do it? i think at fisrt IP Renges must store in array. and ....

any one can help me by writing one sample script?

You could split the string with explode(".", $ip) and then check each of the parts individually agains your criteria.

Or you could convert the IP address to a number and then check from there http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_address#IP_version_4_addresses

if($a[0] == '217' && $a[1] == '218' && $a[2] == '106' && $a[3] < 255) {
 echo 'IP is right';
}

And so on. I'm sure you're capable of doing it yourself. Whilst waiting for a reply, why not just TRY writing some code yourself.
