I want users to be able to enter a page url into a form, and on the next page display the page title and a short description, similar to a google search result. Is there any way I can do this?
[man]file_get_contents/man or the [man]cURL[/man] functions to get the page.
[man]preg_match/man or possibly the [man]DOM[/man] functions to parse the text and grab the info. (I'm not sure off the top of my head if <meta> tags show up in the DOM.)
