Pulling a league table from a website

I have found some php code that will pull the league table from thefa.com website and I would like to import it into my website for my daughters football team. I have pulled it into a web page ok but I was wondering if I could put the data into a table to seperate it a bit.

I have got my background onto it

not quite sure what you are asking, but I did notice a few things with your code. You should not use eregi. Use PCRE instead (preg_match). Also, you can use the function file_get_contents() to read an entire file into a string so you don't have to do the file() implode() nonsense.

I would say that even the PCRE functions should be avoided in this case. PHP's [man]DOM[/man] is much more capable at parsing HTML then regular expressions.

Note, however, that the site's Terms of Use more than likely makes what you're doing illegal:

I was wanting to format the data that I was pulling from the league table and insert a table and put the data in and select the font and colour.

but I will probably just do a link in to the table

Ive emailed the league who supply the tables and they are ok with me using their tables.

How could I just pull the data out and put it into a table myself and then I can format it to like the rest of my website ?

I am not bothered about the text at the top of the screen, just the league table
