[RESOLVED] transfering info from one table to another

Hi again, sorry for bombarding, just another easy one 🙂

I'm not asking for the script, just wondering if it's feasible/logical.

I'd like option that when a user selects a record, it's transferred (moved, not copied) to another table. If you like it's compared with a to-do list, one 'still_todo' table and one 'todo_done' table. Clicking/selecting a record transfers it to the other table.

Can that be done?

If the tables are both the same, and you've got some primary id then this would work

INSERT INTO tabledone SELECT * FROM tabletodo WHERE id = $id;
DELETE FROM tabletodo WHERE id = $id;

Of course $id is a php variable.
