I needed to add mbstring support, so I recompiled PHP with the following:
'./configure' '--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql' '--with-gd' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr/include' '--with-jpeg-dir=../jpeg-6b' '--with-pear' '--with-curl' '--enable-soap' '--with-openssl' '--with-mbstring' '--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs'
Did make, no errors. I ran make test everything was good, so did make install and then restarted my Apache.
In phpinfo page I put up I can see that it shows my valid configure line, but no mbstring section whatsoever and any call to mb_* functions give the undefined function error.
Any thoughts/ideas??
