best autoresponder code? php snippet?

Hey everybody, got a quick question. I am giving away a free study guide on my site and have users register first before they get the guide. Registration is done through the web providers FORMBUILDER, so i get an email from [e-mail] when someone registers (can't autoreply to that eamil) Right now, once a day, I go in and manually email the study guide to whomever wants it.

Anyone have thoughts on what is the best code or method for autoreplying or autoresponding once they have filled out the form?

If the objective is to automatically email the file to the user, I'd probably use either the PHPMailer or Swift Mailer class to send the mail with the file attachment. You could do it all from scratch using the PHP mail() function, but I prefer to let a proven class like one of those handle all the nitty-gritty details.

thanks for the site NogDog. I went to phpmailer and have been toying with it for the past few days. I feel like a moron that I can get it to work. Can you point me to a simpler, bare-bones version of that?
