Whats this called? (Mail script)

Hello, I want to know what this type of script is called so I can do a bit more research on it on my hosts site and on google.

I want to write a mailing script that will execute once a day and send our newsletter to all of our clients. However I want this to be an automatic execution i.e I want the server to automatically execute it at the same time every day, once a day, so I don't have to worry about it.

That would be a "cron job". That's what it's usually called. I don't know what it's called on Windows but it's what the Task Scheduler manages.

Thanks.. just had a bit of a poke around on my hosts site, and they don't even support them!

you dont have to reply on your host... if you leave your computer on, or have one at the office that is always on... schedule a task in windows to visit a URL on your website that will trigger your script to run...
