force dropdown to drop down?

I'm just wondering if there is a way to force select inputs to drop the list DOWN instead of upward.

				  |_8__|

				  |_5__|

				  |_3__|

|_1__|        instead of    	                  |_1__|
|_2__|

Don't put them near the bottom of the page?

I can't work out exactly what it is you're trying to do, but select elements' behaviour is handled by the browser, and is, to a certain degree, out of your control.
